“ Such a cute cafe. My bf and I go here all the time, we love the food and the homemade lemonade and ice tea… the ladies that work there are all super nice and friendly and a lot of their food is made right in the kitchen. It’s really good quality with great pricing. ”

“ Fantastic restaurant, 5 stars!!! Great value, excellent and personable service. Menu had great breakfast choices. Quality of food was top notch. The Belgian waffle was large and tasty. The 2x2 breakfast with eggs and sausage is also a great pick. Nice if they offered maple syrup. Butter was room temperature, not cold and hard like other restaurant reviews. Would definately come again. Not a super large seating area, but it doesn't need to be. They had a special posted for all you can eat french toast for $9.99, wow! See you next Saturday! ”

“ This little cafe is located right beside the MCC thrift store. We have pasted it by on a number of occasions but decided to stop in and give it a try. When we entered, the place was mostly empty, it's brightly lit with natural light from the large windows and the friendly staff seated us immediately. I'm not going to claim the food is out of this world, but it's not bad and at a decent price point. You're going to find the standard cafe foods here, all day breakfasts, sandwiches, burgers, and the like. What we truly loved about this place was the atmosphere. It just felt very friendly and welcoming. If you're out running around the thrift store or area, you should stop by and give them a try, just a warning it was empty when we arrived but the tables filled quickly during the lunch period. ”

“ They have a soup and sandwich combo that’s very affordable and just the right amount of food for lunch! I gave 4 star for service only because they were understaffed and we had to wait for the bill for some time. Will be back for more borscht and Reuben sandwich. ”

“ This is a fantastic place to go frequent at. I wish I knew about it sooner, since this cafe has been down the street from downtown for 10 years. When I got there, I got a table right away and was offered some beverages. The coffee was pretty great, tasting some notes of orange pekoe, yet it was still good coffee. I had the Westcoast Benedict and I really enjoyed it. The benedicts were delicious; the bacon was succulent; the hollandaise sauce was overwhelmingly luscious. Even the hashbrowns were great on their own. I also had their Mennonite Poutine, which is highly recommended by their waitresses. The Schamaunt Fat sauce is very unique in taste and the Rempel's sausage is so good that I would want to buy the meat myself. The inside of the place has a modern look to it and feels very welcoming, despite the unsightly location. Common Place is still a highly recommended place to eat for morning and afternoon meals. ”

“ Had a wonderful experience at Common Place Cafe! I opted for the Mennonite skillset, which was hearty, flavorful, and truly showcased the traditional tastes. My kids ordered pancakes and French toast, and they absolutely loved it—fluffy, perfectly cooked, and with just the right amount of sweetness. The portions were generous, and the presentation was simple yet inviting. The staff was warm and friendly, making us feel right at home. The cafe itself has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for a family outing. Whether you're in the mood for comfort food or something a bit more unique, this place delivers. We’ll definitely be coming back soon! ”

“ Really nice staff. Classic little breakfast spot. Got one of the skillets. Great hollandaise sauce, and I recommend getting the pancakes on the side. ”
